New Features

TMB & MSI

VarSome Clinical now features a research-use-only (RUO) bioinformatics solution for analyzing Tumor Mutational Burden (TMB) and Microsatellite Instability (MSI). The fully automated solution detects key biomarkers for Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP). This is compatible both with Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) assays, and Agilent CGP panels run on Illumina or MGI platforms. The bioinformatics pipeline has been validated against gold-standard TCGA datasets and aligned with current guidelines.

SVs Enhanced Annotation

The variant table now includes a new column called Read Support, allowing users to easily filter out low coverage structural variants (SVs). 

SVs, including repeat expansions, are now shown in a dedicated track in the Sample View, together with SNVs. SVs are now shown with distinct iconography by variant type (e.g. deletions, or inversions). We have also implemented a new tool to allow users to navigate between breakends to make it easier to visualize all variant types in a single view.

FLT3 ITDs Dynamic Filter

FLT3 Internal Tandem Duplications (ITDs) have been added to the existing Variant Type dynamic filter. Users can now easily identify and filter ITDs alongside other structural and small variant types.

Email for 2FA

Users may now choose to add email as an option for 2-Factor-Authentication. Please note, the initial set up will still require SMS for authentication, and once every subsequent 7 days.
